Heat recovery ventilator (HRV) systems are designed to clean the air by removing humidity odours and pollutants from your home without having any major heat loss. The system preheats incoming fresh air by using heat in stale exhaust air. This is especially useful in the winter time as your home will be provided with fresh air that is already warm before it enters your home. This will save you money on heating costs which means the HRV will pay itself off over the lifespan of the system.
The perfect compliment to an HRV system is the Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV). The ERV system will transfer both heat and moisture, this is great for maintaining the humidity inside your home without sacrificing air quality.
